This customer here lives in Rhiwbina and he contacted us through our Facebook page to enquire about his existing TV wall mount. He had a 65-inch Samsung TV which a previous company fitted on the wall but the electricians had fitted the mains socket and HDMI outlets too high up on the wall initially and so incidentally the TV was also mounted too high.
We came along and de-installed the TV and brackets and covered them whilst work was being carried out. We put down some dust sheets and masked the walls to keep things tidy. We disconnected the downstairs power so we could safely remove the main sockets and HDMI outlets.
After agreeing to a new lower location for the TV, we then used specialist saws and cut a new backbox into the wall, extended the mains cable and relocated the mains socket. The same applied to the HDMI cables – luckily they didn’t need to be extended, just relocated.
We then drilled the existing mount back onto the wall and hung the TV in the new lower location, we plastered over the holes leaving the customer to paint when it’s dried.
